New £1.1 million clubhouse & facilities.

Lincoln City Football Club Manager Steve Tilson opened the new “Sports Hub” at the Yarborough Leisure Centre in October 2010.
The hub was developed as an environmentally friendly building with changing rooms, training and social facilities.
The building cost just over £1 million and has six changing rooms, two officials’ changing rooms, a large training & meeting area, as well as a small café area regulalry serving tea, coffee and other light refreshments .
This “state of the art” facility is now the new home of local stakeholder club – North Lindum Hawks Football Club. The Club were the first to use the new facilities and their Club Developer Officer Aeneas Richardson is delighted with the Sports Hub.
He said: “The new Sports Hub facility is absolutely fantastic. Our young footballers still can’t believe how lucky they are to have such a high quality venue to use as their own. This will really help the Club move forward, create more teams and attract more young players from the local area.The changing rooms are luxurious and the kids refer to it as their very own Wembley! We are so pleased to be a part of this project.”
Steve Tilson, the Lincoln City FC manager said: “This is a fantastic facility and I’m delighted to have been asked to officially open it. To have a venue like this on the doorstep is great for the local community and I’m sure it will bring many benefits for the people in the city.”
The Sports Hub was funded by the City of Lincoln Council, the Football Foundation, Lincolnshire County Council, Sports England, and Active Nation.
