Club History
CLUB HISTORY:
The Club was formerly known as Scampton F.C. and from its founding in 2001, played its games at R.A.F. Scampton, home of the famous 617 Squadron; ‘The Dambusters’ for the first 3 years of its existence.
In 2004, we almalgamated with Glebe Park Eagles and moved to King George V playing fields. We continued to use the name of Scampton Hawks until after our A.G.M. in June 2009. The name was changed for 2 reasons;
1) The name Scampton Hawks was causing confusion amongst those wishing their sons/daughters to join and others as to where the Club was actually based and played it’s matches.
2) Because of the further development of the Club, and its proposed move, a more Generic and clearer geographical name was needed to indicate the Club’s area of recruitment. The name North Lindum Hawks was chosen after a competition among the Clubs’ players. Lindum being the roman name for Lincoln, hence North Lindum for the geographical area. Although the Club has also attained a very good reputation as a Club whose players have been signed up for several professional Club Academies in Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire, the Club will never give up its founding belief that players should enjoy playing the game and will continue to be a Community club, with players of both sexes, able-bodied and disabled, and of any or no type of ability welcomed at all times. All our managers are CRB checked and all either are, or will be going through FA Coaching Courses in the near future.

Charity fund raising:
Last season 2008/09 the club held 2 charity events to raise much needed funds for our club and also the local M.S.Thearpy Centre in Lincoln. The events were a Bag Packing day at Iceland on Nettleham Fields and a Charity fun day at our football ground where players, parents and managers took part in various events. Because of the success of these events the club was in a position to donate £700 to the M.S.Thearpy Centre. A number of players who took part in both of these events as well as the Lincoln City Manager at the time along with several of his players were present when the club presented the cheque to the centre.
